How do I use Life Resume?
Life Resume generates a structured document from your timeline covering career, education, travel, and more.
What Life Resume is
Life Resume is a structured document generated from your timeline. It automatically populates six sections: Career, Education, Residences, Travel, Relationships, and Milestones.
Unlike My Story, which is a narrative, Life Resume is formatted like a document — organized, scannable, and suited for sharing with family, a biographer, or anyone who wants a clear picture of your life.
How to generate one
Open Life Resume from the main navigation. Choose a tone (Reflective, Warm, Professional, Poetic, Factual, or Inspirational) and a length, then generate. The document populates from your existing timeline events.
A world map is included automatically once you have five or more locations logged across your events.
Exporting and sharing
Viewing your Life Resume is available on all plans. Exporting to PDF or DOCX requires Premium.
Premium accounts can also save version history and create shareable links so others can view your resume without needing an account.
Rules of Thumb
- Add location data to your events before generating — the map section only appears with five or more pinned locations.
- Richer event descriptions improve the quality of each section, especially Career and Milestones.
- Save a version before sharing so you can always restore a specific draft later.
Common Mistakes
- Generating before adding location data and wondering why the map is missing.
- Not reviewing the generated sections before exporting — the AI works from your events, so sparse events produce sparse output.
