How does the Photos tab work?
Browse all your photos in one place, filtered by life domain or event.
Finding your photos
The Photos tab shows every photo attached to your events in a grid layout. Use the lane filter at the top to narrow the view to a specific life domain — Work, Travel, Health, and so on.
Viewing photos
Tap any photo to open it in the lightbox. From the lightbox you can see which event the photo belongs to, navigate to adjacent photos, or open the event directly.
Reordering photos within an event
Open an event and go to its photo section. Drag photos into the order you want — the first photo in the list is used as the event's cover image wherever a preview is shown.
Rules of Thumb
- Add photos to events after the event details are filled in — a photo with no title or description is harder to find later.
- Use the lane filter if you are looking for photos from a specific area of your life.
Common Mistakes
- Uploading photos without attaching them to events — unattached photos do not appear in the timeline view.
- Expecting the Photos tab to show photos uploaded outside of LifeCharted — only photos imported or uploaded through the app appear here.
